SETTING UP YOUR TRACKER

This takes about 20 minutes, most of it the first time the tracker looks for GPS. Follow the steps in order: the tracker’s code for your account only lasts a few minutes, so the account comes first.

You need

  • the tracker and a USB-C cable and charger
  • a phone with a camera
  • WiFi at home. The tracker only uses 2.4 GHz WiFi, which almost every home router has.
  1. 1Create your accountDo this first, before you switch the tracker on.
  2. 2Charge it and switch it onThe buttons, the battery, and the short lesson on the screen.
  3. 3Connect it to your WiFiYour phone joins the tracker, then you tell it your home network.
  4. 4Add it to your accountScan the code on the screen so its paddles come to you.
  5. 5Fix it in the boatFirmly in place, and reasonably dry.
  6. 6Record a paddleOpen Track, wait for GPS, paddle, stop.
  7. 7Upload it and look at itBack home it uploads by itself; then see it on the website.
  8. 8Sync from your phoneOptional: send a paddle home by Bluetooth, before you’re back on WiFi.
